All good things must come to an end...

We've had some good times, we've had some bad times and as in life, this too had to be stopped (mainly for health reasons). Thank you for sticking through it with us! We hope you enjoyed the ride! Oh! And Annabel is ALLEGEDLY posting more later, but don't hope your breath! JK JK JK (no, i'm totally serious). Also, (you thought you were getting away that easy???) I may be converting this little bundle of joy in to a garden variety food blog "Something Fried", to share later culinary delights!

Their number one drink? Call-a-cab.

Wet Willie's. Great idea or accident waiting to happen?

it isn't fried but it is...

...just full of cheese. still counts, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight?

"Pimento Cheese Sandwich: Sharp cheddar blended with pimentos with a touch of mayonnaise served on White bread."

They didn't add how awesome ::flips up collar:: this sandwich is. There's a tuna "sandwich" beneath it, that I won't bother addressing. For obvious reasons. It sucked in comparison.

If in Savannah, you have to go to Leopold's Ice Cream. Great shakes and sandwiches! Miss it already and it's just down the street...I wonder if it feels the same way?

It wasn't $5 but it was a heck of a foot long...

My gorgeous boerewors (say hello sandwich!) sausage on a roll. A sandwich covered in gravy-why hasn't this been done before?!

The (Ye) Olde Pink House (Savannah, GA)

Annabel's dinner...yes, it IS fried lobster! Trashy AND delicious!

Pulled pork sliders, crab beignets and fried artichokes with goat cheese!

(These pictures are so cloudy because...well there was grease on my phones lense! Yummy)!

So the house is actually pink (how cool is this?) because when this macho man had it built, the red brick dyed the white plaster on the outside and even when he painted it several times, it still turned pink!

Bourbon Street-Before/After. Which is which?

Be warned—you have to call it Nu Oarleans or people will think you are a tourist. But, to be perfectly honest when we arrived at 10 pm on a Saturday night we could have called it Chicago and the Bourbon street crowd would not have complained. Our first sober impressions of Bourbon street was—we are way too sober. Running through beads being thrown off the balconies—we were able to duck into the first semi quiet bar to get a drink. Within, three seconds we were trying to convince a group of men that we were transsexuals just out for a couple of quiet drinks. However, due to the blessings that God gave us-they were not easily convinced. We sauntered onto our next bar and arrived with only a couple of bruises from beads (yes, they do throw them even if you do not show anything). We met a lovely bartender who had a mix between a New York and Southern accent. We had a very civilized evening sipping martinis and wandered home at a very respectable hour (sorry y’all my Mom reads this).
