***UPDATE***

So after many days (read: minutes) I have come to the decision that it is best to move my blog to a more convenient and easier to remember (for when you tell your friends about the awesome blog and it's loud at the bar you're at...and you don't have a pen and napkin to write the awesome blog site on) domain. I hope you respect my choice and more importantly, visit the new site at www.bonafried.blogspot.com

If you need more clarity on this matter, please refer to this video:

Ain't no mountain high enough...

...to keep me from yooooou!

"Wanna split it?"

I envy the people on Lost...

Because they have an unlimited supply of UNI! In all honesty, if I were stuck on that island, I don't think it would bother me much as long as I didn't cut myself on the sea urchin trying to it out. For a moment, please examine the bowl below. Roe, LOADS of uni, nori, wasabi...rice...::looking for my subway card so I may go back::..

Me right now:

"Deconstructed" tongue. The back, the middle and the tip. I'm a middle sort of gal (if you must know).

FAIL

Get in my belly!

Here are some chinese ribs I was lucky enough to chow down on this weekend! I don't know what sort of spices or flavors they use, but I'm now craving them. Beneath them was this odd seafood aspic stuff? Surprisingly good too, despite appearances!

You know you're in trouble when...

the person at Taco Bell asks you what goes into a burrito.

Alert the troops!

Why haven't I thought of this??? ::getting head checked::

You know you've made it when...

Q. Sweet or savory?

A. SWEET!?! Why would you make them sweet? Let's just say that neither I nor Bernie appreciated these things...you get a strong hit of fish and then the sweet finish of sugar? PASS.

I don't know if you can tell what these are, seeing as they were right in front of me, and regrettably, are now in my tummy...but they're tiny dried Japanese crabs. If this is their go-to convenient junk food...

not to be forgotten...

there was also this delicious fried pork at the restaurant (Wonder Seafood)...my personal favorite (am I that obvious??)!

Too many options can be a bad thing...

With so many ice creams to choose from, what's a girl to do?

What's the Scoop? Edison, NJ.

on a sweeter note

These adorable things are red bean buns, they used to not be my old cup-o-tea, but they grew on me! Imagine the sweetest Wonderbread* with sweet red bean paste inside. And they're so damn cute!

The experience is similar to something like this...

*TM

***NSFW***

Juuuust kidding. But seriously, it'll give you nightmares.

Do you see those TEETH? Those teeth could cause SERIOUS finger damage. Do not pet the fish. Ever.

fooooooooooood (I'm tired. Please excuse lame/obvious title)!

I went to Edison, NJ for a lovely feast and here are a few of the culinary delights that ensued...it all began with the shark fin soup!

Fried tofu and shrimp. Surprisingly, a little too healthy for me?

Beef? Pork? Does it matter when it's delicious?

Jellyfish. One of my favorites. If you don't think about it, you'd swear it was just good veg.

Heat n' Eat

South Brooklyn's Margarita Pizza. A slice...of...youknowwherethisisgoing...the crispiest crust (you can hear the crunch) and a great mix of cheeses. The perfect pie!

Fresh basil...mmm. I want to go to there.

Mamma Meatball!

Cataldo's (Brooklyn) Meatball Parmesan Hero. Heaven sandwiched between two pieces of crusty bread. Amore.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for...

...Salted Caramel Pretzel Ice Cream?

The Bitter Chocolate Mint Ice Cream leaves the nest...

The General Greene. Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

Kathy Griffin's confidential recipe

"ON HER SIGNATURE DISH: It's called Cake Soup. You microwave a piece of chocolate cake, put it in a Cuisinart with a pint of vanilla Häagen-Dazs. Then you eat it and cry a little bit."

Is there anything better than good pizza?!

Bob and Timmy's in Providence, RI. The crust was super crispy and the toppings were really fresh. It was just in GQ (my personal fav. magazine, obviously) for their pizzas. YUMMY!

Step aside Katz...

There's a better sandwich out there. It's at Rueben's in Canada. AND IT'S A CHAIN. So so good though!

Compare the meat:hand ratio. It's a good thing.

Paula Deen @---->----

The Paula Deen blog should be up soon! I'm just waiting to get the pictures! I know you guys (all 2 of you) are on the edges of your seats!

Why I <3 Montreal

They had a churro machine! They then filled the churro with nutella! Does it get better than that? If it does, call me.

Afewofmyfavoritethings

Here are some of the foods that have changed my life...I hope you're sitting down because these images may knock you off your feet.

::cue Minnie Ripperton::

"loooovin' you, is easy 'cause you're beautiful..."

Pigs foot at Au Pied De Cochon in Montreal. Taste like you think it would, like feet? Really, really good feet, don't get me wrong...but "feet-y" all the same. Makes me want to eat my own. Weird?

Foie gras pizza! Why not?

One of Montreal's staples. Poutine. This one was with fries, gravy, shredded chicken and peas! Not my cup of tea because I hate soggy fries, but would I refuse it? Never! (Resto La Banquise)
